This video documents the process of painting "Grief And Beyond"; a canvas started after the death of a good friend's mother, recently. Another friend, Z, had lost his grandmother this winter and my own mum passed recently. So, I started this piece to represent the "alone survivor" that each of us must be, at some point. Started with a strong pencil sketch, painted over a few weeks. The "survivor" character has antlers, which represent someone with achieved wisdom or knowledge, in many shamanic pictographic systems.
